About:

Born in 1987 in Nanyuki, Kenya, Sawe Catherine is a passionate artist based in Kampala, Uganda.

She did her Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Fine arts from Margret Trowell School of Fine Arts at Makere University in Uganda. While pursuing her degree she volunteered at the Uganda National Museum where she conducted Art classes for young children. She has also worked with other organization like AIESEC where she was the Vice President, Talent manager and Project Director for ASK (which is a HIV/AIDS programme) for Makerere University.

Sawe Catherine currently uses oil pastels and mixed media to produce landscapes and portraits with African themes, often inspired by pastoral communities in Kenya. She also draws her inspiration from African wildlife.

In addition to producing her own artwork, she also helps markets other upcoming artists in Uganda and hopes to develop this side more in the future, while continuing to produce her own artwork.

For recreation Cathy enjoys Salsa dancing and Latin music, 'it helps to break up the day after spending hours sitting still and focusing on many colours and concepts'.

About:

Lynda Payton - Photographic Digital Images

ABOUT THE ARTIST/ AUTHOR
Lynda Payton, a forth generation photographer, trained by her father George Hall, trained by his father Ted Hall. She has been creating fine art imagery for 9 years.  Her works have been on display in the U.S. and abroad including, The Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington D.C and The Ladybird Art Exhibit in London, England. Her work has also been used for a commissioned art piece to be painted  for The City Of Washington D.C.
THE MEDIUM
Her passion for photography, art and computers opened up a whole new world and way of creating art with photographs.

These works are layered digital files of photograph captures, vector art or 3D rendered imagery.  These mediums open a dimension in art that delights me and provokes thought.  I can surface images, add texture, with anything that I can imagine.

Technology links the outside world and the digital world, which is where my art evolves.  This fuels my passion behind exploring new ways to integrate sources to blend into imaginative art landscapes, portraits and graphics.

Printed Editions are high resolution images presented on archival paper acid free paper.

It is the hope of the artist to bring together people of all nationalities by creating inspiring images that challenge the imagination and provoke thought. Art is not just a picture it’s a way of expressing life.

About:

I’m an empty book (canvas) open to the lost mysteries and truth of the beauty found within the divine melaninated wooly haired ones (black history retold but with all truths in place). Painting lost truth's, love, passions... past lives of beautiful incarnations before the mindset of 'psychological' slavery. seanseyes.com or Google Afro Art Ivy to find the end of this bio..... until then.... Ashe! Everyone is beautiful but some hate their own beauty and it is that very idea that makes us separate!

Aisha produces stunning quilts, in a style that was once common in the North East of England and know as Durham quilts – I remember watching my grandmother making them when I was a young boy and so I am aware of the time and effort that is required to produce such work.

Take the time to browse Aisha’s Web page to get a better idea of the work that she produces.

Thanks for allowing me to include your work in the Blog Aisha.

All the best
